Overview
A command that orders your soldiers to stop completely and hold their current position without moving. It is one of the three available soldier commands alongside Fuego(**fuego**) and Rally(**rally**). This command is useful when you need your soldiers to stay put while you maneuver, scavenge, or reposition without them wandering into danger on their own. It gives you a level of control over your units that is important in levels where the terrain and enemy placement demand precision. Using Hold at the right moment can prevent your soldiers from chasing enemies into unfavorable positions and keep them exactly where you need them. Knowing when to hold your soldiers in place versus when to let them move freely is a skill that develops naturally the more you play.
